William Burke passed away at the county home the morning of December 18, his death being caused by tuberculosis and cancer. Mr. Burke passed his boyhood days here and from here he went to Nebraska, where he resided for a number of years. About two years ago he returned to Frederika to spend his remaining years among his old acquaintances. He had a home of his own, but as he was sick and had no one to take care of him, it was thought best to take him to the county home for the winter. He was buried in the Pinhook Catholic cemetery Friday afternoon.
