Ariel Corliss md. Betsey Durgan in N.H. 1853 He died in Civil War in 1863. They had 3 children:Eugene b.1853 d.1869 Alma b. 1858 d.1866 These 2 were in Soldier's Orphans Home in IA. & died there.
Florilla b. Oct. 6,1860 & lived wirh Jacob Craig who was her guardian. Mrs. W.L. Kirgis of Woodward,IA. was daughter of Florilla J. Corliss
Betsey md 2nd. Charles Dermlinger 28 May 1864 in Des Moines,IA. Polk Co. Corliss add. P.O. Alton,IA. Jacob Craig Add. Xenia,IA.
25 September 1863 Betsey was living with children in Union Twp. Boone Co.,IA.
