Wentz marriage c. 1912

We have discoverd two postcards that indicate my grandfather, Ross E. Wentz, had a 1st marriage of which we were unaware. We know he grew up in Boone Co. and moved to Kansas before 1910. It has been suggested that he might have gone back to Iowa to marry a childhood sweetheart. Does anybody know where I might find info on his marriage sometime between 1911-1914? Thanks, K
