Need help finding birth place of my biological grandfather

Searching to find information on my biological grandfather, Raymond C. Estes. The Social Security Death index on Rootsweb shows that his social security number was issued in Iowa. He was a PFC SVCCO 346 Infantry Rect. WWII. This is what is says on his tombstone. On his tombstone it shows that he was born July 11, 1920. This is the only information that I have. I have no clue what county he would have been born in. I'm presuming he was born in Iowa, but am uncertain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
