CL, Tho Iowa began requiring vital records registration in 1880 it wasn't strictly complied with 'til much later. You can check with the Ia. dept of health or the county using the birth data from the 1900, but your best shot would be a baptismal record. Contact the local area gene/historical societies to find out what churches were in the Marcy twp locale at the time. Dick
