Erma Alice Stoll, 89, of Story City, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Boone. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Erma Alice Stoll was born May 9, 1918, in Hamilton County, Neb., to Eden and Alice Coffey. She taught school for six years in the Hamilton County area and was a homemaker. She married Lester Stoll June 8, 1941. She had lived in the Boone and the Story City area since 1941. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was known for her cookies and decorated cakes.
She is survived by two sons, Norm (Krisha) Stoll, of Boone, and Ronald Stoll, of Story City; one sister, Joy Walker, of Ottumwa; two grandchildren, Misti McInteer and Dustin Stoll; and two great-grandchildren, Emelia McInteer and Laine Stoll.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant daughter, Karen; five brothers and sisters; and four half-brothers and half-sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bethany Manor or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
