WISECUP, IVES, BUNDY

Last rites for the late Ivan Wisecup were held thursday afternoon Feb 5th at 1:45 o'clock from the schroeder funeral home and at 2:30 from the Bethel Church south of Boone, with the Rev G.H. Sutton in charge.
A quartet, Sidney Stumbo, Milo Stumbo, bob Stumbo and Ben Price sang the hymns "Going down the Valley", "Looking this way" and sometime we'll Understand". They were accompanied by Miss Vera Stumbo.
Pallbearers were Torence, Leo, Archie, Kenneth, Howard and Ray wisecup. Honorary pallbearers were Paul, Everett, Wilson, Eldon, Gerald and Lloyd Wisecup,
In charge of flowers were Miss Mary Oviatt, Margaret Phipps, Ella Williams and Dorothy Weyer. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Ivan Ross Wisecup son of L.D. and Mary (Cunningham) Wisecup was born March 2, 1878 in Boone County, and succembed at the Boone county hospital Feb 2, 1942 at the age of 63 years 11Mo.
He was a lifelong resident of Marcy Township. He had spent his entire life on the farm until about six months ago when he became Ill and was cared for in the home of his brother Lester. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, was a kind,patient and loved by all who knew him.
Surviving are three brothers, Lester wisecup of Woodward, R. W. wisecup of Stanhope and Bryan, Whose residence is unknown, one sister, Mrs David Ives of Indianola and a number of neices and nephews besides a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two sisters, Mrs Lillie bundy and Rosie and three brothers, Gilbert, Walton and Vernon.
