Darlene Iona Murken, age 79 of Boone died Wednesday June 30, 2004 at the Evangelical Free Church Home, Boone Iowa.
Darlene was born on august 13, 1924, in woodward to Lester Lee and Flossie Iona (Bundy) Wisecup. She attended school in Boone county.
She married herman Murken on December 10, 1945, in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Parsonage in northeast Boone County. The couple farmed in Harrison township until 1987 when they retired and moved into Boone. Darlene was a homemaker.
Darlene was a member of the St Paul's Lutheran Church in Boone County.
Her son, Duane,a granddaughter, three brothers, Kenneth, Junior and Torence, and two sisters, Peg Wisecup and Mary Mccoy preceded her in death.
Darlene is survived by her husband, a daughter and son in law,Marla and Larry Meyers of Boone,
a son, Dwight (Dewey) of Urbandale, a daughter and son in law, Rhonda and the Rev Michael Harman of Newell, a daughter and son in law, Mari Lynn and John CAin of Boone,a daughter and son in law, Brenda and Ken Ely of Boone, a daughter in law, Sharon Murken of Cedar Rapids-16 grandchildren, a brother and sister in law, Howard and Dorothy wisecup of Ogden, a sister and brother in law Maxine and Eugene Nystrom of Hanford California, a sister in law Jolene Wisecup of Ogden, a sister in law Helen Wisecup of Boone and many neices and nephews.
Burial will be in the St Pauls Luthern Cemetery.
