Sandra Olivia Barquist, 56, of Ogden died of cancer Thursday at home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Lawn Cemetry in Boxholm.

Mrs. Barquist was born in Boxholm and lived in Ogden many years. She had operated Raggedy Ann and Andy Preschool for many years after being an elementary-school teacher and was a member of the national and state education associations.

Survivors include her husand, WIlliam; two daughters, Kristen Surm of Waukee and Kimberly Hogelucht of San Diego; a sister, Sonja Sturtz of Perry; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Startk-Welin Funeral Home in Ogden, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
