HAROLD E. REED

Harold E. Reed, 77, 308 2nd St., died Sept. 12, 1981 at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines. He was born March 16, 1904 in Hubbard, the son of Morgan Reed and Nellie Taylor Reed. He married Edna Hurst April 23, 1927 at Boone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Edna, a daughter, a brother, a sister and a granddaughter.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald L. and Robert W., both of Boone, and Harold J., Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Don Shirley Meadows, Boone; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hurst, Perry; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Schroeder Funeral Home with Reverend E. Gerald Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Schroeders on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of the services.
