Rose Moreland

Rose Moreland, 86, of Dayton, died Saturday in Van Nuys, Calif. She was born April 28, 1889 in Holdrege, Nebr. She married James Moreland and the couple made their home in the Pilot Mound - Boxholm area until 1950, when they moved to Dayton.

Mrs. Moreland was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter and six brothers and sisters.

Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Joan Cookson of Reseda, Calif.; Ruth Cleaveland of Tarzana, Calif.; Mrs. Fern Webber of Ogden and Mrs. Dorothy Franholm of Dayton; four sons; Harold of Alden, Lee of Kansas City, Mo., Dale of Minneapolis and Max of Fort Dodge; and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Larson of Dayton.

The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Carson Funeral Home with burial in the Lawn Cemetery in Boxholm. Friends may call at the funeral home in Dayton from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday.
