Anselm a Baldus Died Tuesday

Mrs. Anselma Baldus, 66, Story City, died Tuesday evening at the Rice County Hospital in Faribault, Minn.

Funeral services are Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, southwest of Story City with the Rev. Fr. Carl J. Manternach and the Rev. Fr. Leonard Baldus officiating. The Rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.

Mrs. Baldus was born Feb. 1, 1907 in Boone County. She was married to Alfred Baldus in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1945. The family had lived on a farm west of Story City. She moved to Story City in 1961.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Knouse, Story City; two sons, Vincent Baldus and Maurice Baldus, both of Boone; 16 grandchildren; and a brother, Arnold Reinsch, Boone.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, a son, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home Thursday morning until 9 a.m. Friday.
