Phylis (Goettsch) Converse, passed away May 15 in Boone at the age of 85. She resided at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.
She is survived by three children: Mary Pepper, rural Boone, Martha Dessinger, Fort Dodge, and Allan Converse, Gilbert, AZ, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services and burial were held in Cherokee, Iowa, on May 19. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Converse, in 1967 and her husband, Melvin Converse, in 1969. Boone News Republican
