A memorial service has been set for William "Bill" Herbert Savonell, who died December 30, 2008 in Okeechobee, Florida. Services will be on Friday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church, 707 8th St. in Boone, with Father Thomas Gehlsen officiating.
Internment will be in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone with military honors performed by the Boone Veterans Council. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the church immediately following the internment.
Memorials may be directed to Elizabeth Savonell, 412 Main St., Boone, IA 50036 for use at the family's discretion. Boone News Republican
