Kenneth Morgan, age 82, of the Stratford Nursing and Rehab Center in Stratford and formerly of Boone, died at the Center on May 3, 2009. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall with Pastor Larry Long officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, north of Madrid.
Kenneth was born in Adair, Iowa, on April 15, 1927, the son of Calvin and Leona (Kuster) Morgan. He married Vivian Baker in Audubon on July 11, 1952. Kenneth worked for a brick manufacturing company in Adel and Redfield and retired in 1982. He then performed seasonal work at DeKalb in Boone. Kenneth enjoyed working on cars and traveling with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vivian, a brother Lonnie, a sister Hazel, and two grandsons Shawn and Michael. Kenneth is survived by two sons, Jerry Morgan and wife Vicky of Ogden, and Terry Morgan and wife Deanna of Des Moines; two daughters, Charlotte Acker of Adair and Donna Coe of Menlo; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues Thursday at the chapel from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
