Patricia Louise Schall, 75, of Boone and formerly of Ogden died on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2009 at the St. John's Catholic Church in Ogden. Father Steve Brodersen and Father Brian Danner will officiate. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m.
Patricia Schall was born on July 3, 1933, in Estherville, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Koch) Casserly. At an early age the family moved to Boone Iowa. Pat graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Boone in 1951. She married Richard "Dick" on her 19th birthday in Boone. The couple lived and raised their four children on a farm seven miles southwest of Ogden. They moved one mile west of Ogden in 1991. In April of this year they moved to an apartment in Boone.
Pat enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family. She and Dick could be seen through the years enjoying the sight of their children then their grandchildren playing sports. She was a former member of St. Johns' Catholic Church in Ogden serving on the Rosary Society. For many years she and her close friends served on the funeral committee. Her current membership was with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Boone.
Survivors include: her husband of 56 years; four children Becky (Mike) Stecker of Boone, Nancy (Dave) Iben of Perry, Joseph (Diane) Schall & Barb (Scott) Clark of Boone; four sisters Colleen Donovan, Mary Mowrer, Alice Murken & Sue Hinman; 13 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
