Joyce Darlene (Howe) Rinehart, 81, of Parker, Idaho passed from this life due to heart failure on Wednesday December 17, 2008 at Show Low, Arizona surrounded by her family.
Joyce was born on April 28, 1927 in Pilot Mound, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Clara (Parks) Howe. She graduated as valedictorian from Pilot Mound High School in 1944 and was united in marriage to Billie Dean Rinehart on August 17, 1945 at Hiawatha, Kansas.
Joyce and Bill owned and operated a resort near Salmon, Idaho until they retired in 1991. Joyce enjoyed camping, tending to her flower gardens and spending time with her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by son Michael and her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Bill of St. Anthony, Idaho; a daughter and son-in-law Duanna and John Long of Richmond Hill, Georgia; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Kim and Beatrice Rinehart of Tucson, Arizona and Kevin and Collette Rinehart of Parker, Idaho; two brothers and sister-in laws, Robert and Bonnie Howe of Boone and Roger and Florence Howe of LaRonge, Canada; one sister and brother-in- law, Marjorie and Wallee Brown of Kingsville Missouri; one sister-in-law Gloria Jones of Ogden; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
At her request no services will be held but a gathering will be organized to celebrate Joyce's life next spring.
