Michael Shad McIntyre, 37, of 1703 2nd Street in Boone, passed away at his home on Thursday evening, December 25, 2008.
He was born on March 29, 1971 in Boone, the son of Michael and Pam (Wisecup) McIntyre.
On July 29, 1995, he married Christie Trotter at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden, Iowa.
Mike was a 1989 graduate of Boone High School. He was currently employed at Van Diest Agricultural Supply Company in Boone. Mike loved being in the outdoors, where he could fish, trap, camp and hunt, especially for deer and turkey. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
His father Mike in 2006, grandparents Les and Barb McIntyre and grandmother Ruby Bronn in 2006, and great-grandparents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Christie of Boone; children Megan, Dakota, Macie and Maddie all at home; mother Pam McIntyre of Boone; 1 sister Cris Lande and husband Matt of Boone; 2 brothers James McIntyre and wife Brandy of Denton, Maryland and Nic McIntyre of Denver, Colorado; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jim and Sandy Trotter of Glenwood, Iowa; 2 sisters-in-law Dawn Trotter of Loveland, Colorado and Angie Tetter and husband Junior of Ogden, Iowa; a brother-in-law James Trotter of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandparents George and Carla Wisecup of Boone, grandfather Bill Bronn of Randalia, Iowa, grandmother Dorothy Trotter of Boone; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday morning, December 31st at 10:30 a.m. at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone with Pastor Dick Dahle officiating.
Following the funeral service, his body will be cremated.
Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with the family present during that time to greet friends. Visitations will continue at the Augustana Lutheran Church on Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
