Vera Condon, Age 75 of 1632 13th st, died August 22, 2006 at the Boone county Hospital. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 25, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Augustana Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Solomon officating. Burial will be in Linwood Park Cemetery.
Vera was born in Boone county on Feb 8, 1931 the daughter of William and Ruth (Dailey) Miller. On October 16, 1969, she married Vernon Condon in Boone. Vera was a homemaker and bookeeper for Condon's Services. She was a member of Augustana Luthern Church and the Boone County Historical Society. Vera enjoyed Sewing,quilting, crocheting,gardening,canning,traveling,and country music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Clifford Elsberry, two brothers Lavern and Virgil Miller and a sister, Nancy Miller. She is survived by her husband, Vernon of Boone,six sons, David Elsberry and wife Jean,Dennis Elsberry and wife Karla,Douglas Elsberry and wife LouAnn, Curtis Condon and Edward Condon and wife Val all of Boone. And Wendall Condon and wife Lori of Enterprise, Alabama;a daughter,Debra Mikesell and husband Ron of Boone, Eight brothers Lloyd Miller and wife Mary Jane, Ray Miller, Ed Miller and wife Cheryl, Lawrence (Bud) Miller and wife Betty and Paul Miller and wife Patricia all of Boone, Lauren Miller and wife Barbara of Cedar Rapids, Jack Miller and wife Fran of Luther, and Bernard Miller and wife Sharon of Tucson Arizona;three sisters, Rose Quigley and husband John and Janice Shadle and husband Bill all of Boone and Joyce Kirk and husband Larry of Ames. 20 grandchildren and 6 great children.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at sixth and Marshall today from 3 until 9 p.m. where the family will be present this evening from 6:30-8pm. Visitation continues Friday at the Augustana Lutheran Church from 9am until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
