Last Rites for 
Fred Arnes

Funeral services were held for Fred Arnes, Saturday, April 26, 1969 at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden conducted by Dr. Robert Robinson.

Dennis Morgan, soloist, sang "The Holy City" accompanied by Mrs. Audrey Meimann. Mr. and Mrs. Meinhardt Haastadt, Jr. were in charge of the flowers.

Pallbearers were John Crossman, Kern Marlow, Kenneth Webber, Simon Johnson, Reuben Forsberg and Bert Bakley.

Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Ogden.
Fred Arnes, son of Easton and Agnetta Arnes, was born April 12, 1886 at Woodward and died at his home in Ogden Wednesday evening, April 23, 1969.
Mr. Arnes grew up in the Woodward community, and attended school there. During his adult life he farmed in the Woodward area and moved to the Ogden area in 1931. He retired from the farm and moved to town in 1949.

June 25, 1913, he was united in marriage to Alma Small of Woodward. To this union were born five children: Mrs. Dorothy Powers of Jefferson, Mrs. Paul (Fern) Christensen and Byron Arnes of Ogden, Mrs. Rolland (Mildred) Barnes of Perry and (illegible) of Troy, Michigan.

Mr. Arnes was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alma (March 19, 1963); by two sisters; Mrs. Fred Crane and Miss Reta Arnes; and by two brothers, Albert Arnes and (illegible).
He is survived by his five children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Emma Baum of Ames, and one brother, L.H. Arnes of New Glarus, Wis.

Mr. Arnes was a member of Community United Methodist Church of Ogden.
