Sharon Baskett, age 56, of 411 West Ninth Street in Boone, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A graveside service will be Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the Boone Memorial Gardens.

Sharon was born June 27, 1949 in New Prague, Minnesota the daughter of Victor and Emma (Norris) Vandarwarka. She graduated from Boone High School in 1968. She married Craig Baskett in 1984. She worked at Good Connections, Inc. in Boone and in earlier years, she worked at McDonald's in Boone.

She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Craig Baskett of Ogden, a son, Jerry Baskett of Des Moines, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Sheryl Vandarwarka of Boone and Roy and Peggy Vandarwarka of Joppa, Maryland; and nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Friends may call Thursday from 8 a.m. until noon at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets. Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
