Shirley (Peter) Parmentier, 69, Colorado Springs, Colo., and formerly of Boone, died Monday at her home of heart failure.
Funeral services were held Friday at Schroeder Memorial Chapel, Sixth and Marshall streets, Boone, with the Rev. Wilmer Peter officiating. Burial was in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.
She was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Boone, the daughter of Otto and Opal (Richards) Peter. She married Henri Parmentier Nov. 14, 1955, in Colorado Springs. The couple later divorced.
She graduated from Boone High School in 1952. She was a bookkeeper and a homemaker. Her hobbies included baking, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Carla Parmentier of Colorado Springs; three daughters and one son-in-law, Michelle and Donald Breaker of Colorado Springs, Lynette
Parmentier of Colorado Springs and Nicolle Parmentier of Karval, Colo.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Delbert and Dorothy Peter of Boone and Wilmer and Gladys Peter of Story City; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Daloris and Don Wilchek of Boone, Berniece Moore of Independence and Betty and Duane Paulson of Roland; four grandchildren, Riley Parmentier, Savannah Breaker, Joshua Breaker and Audrey Parmentier; one aunt and uncle; and her dog, Shadow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant son, Douglas.
Schroeder Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
