Viola J. Anderson, age 95 of Rockwall, TX, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and savior Tuesday morning, October 26, 2005. She was born July 4, 1910, in Stratford, IA, to Elias Bricker and Lillian (Denton) Bricker.
She married Rudolph G. Anderson in 1918. They moved from Iowa to Flint, MI, where they lived until his death in 1976. Mrs. Anderson moved back to Iowa where she lived until 2002 when she moved to Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her daughter: Martha L. Lunn & husband Richard of Rockwall, TX; sister: Veronica Piper & husband Gene of Arbela, MO; daughter-in-law, Ann Anderson of Osceola, FL; grandchildren: Dean Anderson & wife Carol of Traverse City, MI, Dale Anderson and Mark Anderson, both of Flint, MI, David Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, Lisa Anderson of Vero Beach, FL, Daniel Anderson of Reno, NV, Scott Lunn & wife Tina of Aurora, CO, Chad Lunn & wife Jana of Rowlett, TX, Samuel Lunn of Dallas, TX, Katherine Lunn & Daniel Roach of Rockwall, TX, and Angela Cauble & husband Jacob of Rockwall, TX; 17 great grandchildren with 1 great granddaughter on the way; 10 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and California.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years: Rudolph G. Anderson; sons: Ivan D and Neil R Anderson; brothers: Jim, Todd and Frank Bricker; and sisters: Sylvia Lindberg and Mina E. Jones.
The people who knew Viola were touched by her caring, incredible selflessness and devotion to her family. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren. Nothing pleased her more than to have visits from her great-grandchildren. She lived an extraordinary life and all of those she loved were touched by it. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, October 29, 2005, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Aubrey Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Pilot Mound, IA.
