William "Bill" Lamb, 78, of Westridge Road, died Feb. 7 at Landsun Health Service Center.

Services and cremation have taken place.

William Bassett "Bill" Lamb was born April 21, 1926, in Boone to Ray and Helen McColloum Lamb. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army and was a 50-year member of the American Legion and was a 3rd degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Lamb.

Survivors include son Jim Lamb and wife, Lynn, of Louisville, Ky.; daughter Judy Mittelstet and husband, Carl, of Carrolton, Texas; brother Robert H, Lamb and wife, Jean, of Centerville, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Landsun Homes or Landsun Hospice, 2002 Westridge Road, Carlsbad, NM, 88220.

Denton-Funchess Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
