MRS. GERMER GOES TO HER FINAL REWARD:
Suffered for Years With Cancer, Rev. Boehm Officiates

Last Thursday, July 30th, Mrs. Wilhelmina Wagner, wife of Henry Mathew Germer, passed away in the home of her son, Edward Germer, in the northeast part of Ogden, at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 24 days. The cause of her death was cancer of the bowels; which caused her much suffering for a number of years and for which she had been operated on. Realizing that she could not fully recover, the death angel was welcomed by her as a relief of all trouble and pain.

The deceased was born in Prussia, Germany, October 6th, 1852. About 1866, she came to the U.S. On the 25th of October, 1873, she was united in holy wedlock with her surviving husband, Henry Mathew Germer, and lived on their homestead 2 1/2 miles southwest of Pilot Mound for 40 years. Twelve years ago they retired and made their home in Pilot Mound.

Four sons were born to this union: Louis, who preceded his mother in death about eleven years ago; Chas. H of Pilot Mound; Edward W. of Ogden; Elmer H. of Fort Dodge.

Besides these, the deceased leaves 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. J. Boehm of Zion Lutheran Church at the M. E. church of Pilot Mound, last Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., after a brief service in the home of Edward Germer of Ogden. Interment was made in the Pilot Mound cemetery.
