Lester Edward Pohl 86, died Wednesday at the Madrid Home in Madrid. He was born Sept. 30, 1914.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Pohl of Madrid; four sons, Glen Pohl of Perry, Marvin Pohl of Knox, Ind., Richard Pohl, out of state, and Jim Pohl of Perry; four daughters, Patricia Pohl of Perry, Lesta Briggs of Woodward; and Deloris Pohl and Nancy Squire, both of Des Moines; three step-children, Lynda Conis of Boulder, Colo., Diana Jensen of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Robert Waldridge of Shakopee, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Madrid Homes Chapel in Madrid. Burial was in Richland Township Cemetery in Guthrie County.

Memorials may be given to the Madrid Homes for the Hospice Facility and may be left at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry.

Hastings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
