Jolene Marie Bock, 59, Rippey, died Nov. 15 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, of heart failure. She was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Perry, the daughter of Charles G. Frantum and Mary (McDonald) Frantum. She married Larry Bock.
She grew up on the family farm near Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1959. In recent years she lived in Rippey and worked at the IBP cafeteria and for Abilties Unlimited. She was an accomplished seamstress and had a passion for reading. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Perry.
She was preceded in death by her father and one son, Charles Bock. Survivors include one son, Andrew Bock of Perry; one granddaughter, JoLisa Jane Johnson of Perry; her mother of Woodward; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles J. (Buster) and Cynthia Frantun of Bouton; one nephew, four nieces; an uncle and aunt; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Perry with the Rev. David Swinton officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden.
Memorials may be left at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry.
Hastings Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
