Brenda Lee Dahl, 37, Ogden, died Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born Oct. 26,1963, in Boone, the daughter of Gary and Myra Shadle. She married Richard Dahl Aug. 21, 1987. The marriage was sealed at the Chicago Temple in 1993.

She was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden schools. Following her education, she became a certified nurse's aide and was employed at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone. She and her husband made their home in Ogden. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Boone. Her hobbies included working with youth, camping, fishing and going to flea markets.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lee Jones; and her paternal grandparents, Oren and Isabelle Shadle. Survivors include her husband; her mother of Luray, Va.; her father of Grand Junction; her maternal grandmother, Goldie Jones of Ogden; a close friend, Connie Burgart of Grand Junction; one great-nephew; two nieces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop James Teusch officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden.

Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.

Carson Funeral Home of Ogden is in charge of arrangements.
