Vivian M. Hunt, 68, Ogden, died Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born Oct. 30, 1933, in Woodward, the daughter of John J. and Elva (Pepples) Lorenzen. She married Keith W. Hunt March 22, 1953, in Des Moines.
She attended Peoples Center Country School in Boone County and later graduated with the Woodward High School Class of 1952. She and her husband lived and farmed in the Bouton area until 1960, when the moved to Boone. She then worked at the J.C. Penney store in Boone until 1966. The couple moved to Ogden in 1968. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Her hobbies included sewing and making clothes. She and her husband also enjoyed teaching square dancing for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Natalie Hunt of Oskaloosa; three grandchildren, Lvi, Abigail and Benjamin Hunt; her mother of Perry; and one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Donna Lorenzen of Woodward.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden with the Rev. Stephen Ude officiating. Burial will be in Peoples Cemetery in Peoples Township.
Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden.
Carson Funeral Home of Ogden is in charge of arrangements.
