Eleanore Anna (Lesch) Nutt, 87, Dayton, died Sunday at her home. She was born Dec. 10, 1913, in Osage, the daughter of John and Anna (Graper) Witt. She married Leroy R. Lesch June 25, 1939, in Plymouth. He died Jan. 29, 1971, and she married Woodrow Nutt Oct. 23, 1976, in Des Moines.

She grew up in rural Osage and attended school in Plymouth, graduating from Plymouth High School in 1931. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, graduating with a teaching certificate. She then taught school for several years in Mitchell County. Following her first marriage, she and her husband established their home on an acreage west of Osage, where they owned and operated Lesch Oil Company. Following her second marriage, she and her husband moved to his farm in Dayton, where they lived until his death in 1988. She then moved to Grandveiw Apartments in Dayton. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dayton and belonged to United Methodist Women. She also belonged to the Dayton Golf & Country Club, women's club, Arts & Crafts Club, exercise club, several card clubs in Dayton, and the Dayton Dreamers. She was active in the Dayton Development Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; her second husband on April 18, 1988; two brothers, Harold Witt and Roy Witt; and one sister, Mildred Goplerud. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Elaine Lesch of Lake Panorama, and James and Dorothy Lesch of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Suzanne Lesch and Steve Lesch and his wife, Brenda; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Breanna Lesch; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

The body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Dayton with the Rev. John J. Hembry officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Osage Cemetery in Osage.

Memorials may be given to the Dayton Rescue Squad or the United Methodist Church in Dayton.

Carson Funeral Home in Dayton is in charge of arrangements.
