Anene O'Neil, 84, Chicago, Ill., and formerly of Boone, died Wednesday at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago.

She was born Jan. 20, 1916, in Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Page) Smith.

She was a former hospital elevator operator.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Judith O'Neil, and Everett and Lydia O'Neil; two sisters, Geraldine Willard and Nadia Goldsworth; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today in Squire Boone Cemetery, Boone, with the Rev. Dr. Herbert Foxworthy officiating. Burial will follow the service.

Friends may call at Schroeder Memorial Chapel, Sixth and Marshall streets, Boone, today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Schroeder Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
