David Quinlan, 52, Austin, Minn., died Thursday at his home. He was born June 6,1948, in Lake City, the son of Kenneth and Marjorie (Kuebler) Quinlan. He married Annette Leiting.

He worked in the Mowrer County Extension Office as an educator. He was a former extension director at Boone County Extension in Boone.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jill and Toby Lorenzen of Rock Rapids, Jennifer and Johnathan Clayton of Des Moines, and Alicia Quinlan of Austin; two sons, Birna Quinlan and his fiancee, Kym McBride, of Ankeny, and Carl Quinlan of Boone; three grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Carol Quinlan of Edwardsville, Ill., and Joe and Kristy Dewey of West Des Moines; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Jerry Carey of Churdan, and Linda and Gerald Durben of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Austin with Father Hubert Boschert and Father Donald Zeuk officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post No. 91.

Mayer Funeral Home of Austin was in charge of arrangements.
