Melvin L. Van Cannon, 65, Ogden, died Monday at his home. He was born May 29, 1936, in Boone County, the son of Tony and Kathy (Williams) Van Cannon. He married Mary Banford June 18, 1955.

The body has been cremated.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Pilot Mound Evangelical Free Bible Church with the Rev. Rod Rindahl officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in Fairview Cemetery in Madrid at a later date.

Friends may call at the church Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Neptune Society of Iowa, Ankeny, is in charge of arrangements.
