John Hutchinson, of the firm of Hutchison & Bros, proprietors of coal mines, Zenorsville, was born in Pennsylvania, April 1, 1838, he attended school until eighteen years of age, and then commenced mining, and followed the same for about ten years, in 1865 he followed the carpenter’s trade, continuing the same until 1870, when he moved to Missouri, the fall of the same year he went to Chicago and followed his trade for nearly two years, and in May 1872, came to this county, where he still resides, he married in Pennsylvania, Miss Emma Young, they have five children: Edward C, Robert F, Jean, Emma and John
