James McIntosh, deputy auditor, was born in Putnam county, Indiana, on December 30, 1844, and accompanied his parents to this county in 1852, and has lived in this county since that time, his father has long been one of the prominent citizens of the county, the subject of this sketch was married in 1868 to Miss Josephine L Ketchum, resident of Boone county, but a native of Massachusetts, they have a family of three children: Maud C, Sybil M and James L , lost one daughter Emily C
