John T S Williams, farmer and stock-raiser, Sec 13, P O Ogden, was born in Canada, August 31, 1836, and when young was taken by his parents (Ebenezer and Margaret Williams) to New York, living there until seven years of age, he then removed to Wisconsin in 1844, while that state was yet a Territory, settling in Iowa county, they lived on one farm for over twenty years, and as his father was a minister, he was stationed at Mineral Point for some four or five years before moving on this farm , in 1869 he came to this county and settled where he now resides, on arrival here he built a barn and for a while lived in part of it, he now owns 480 acres of land in cultivation, has three large barns and a fine residence, he was married in 1859 to Miss Jane Thomas, a native of Wisconsin, she was born in 1838, they have a family of six children: G K, Charles H, Jane C, Sophia L, Laura M, and Richard E, Mr Williams is a member of the A F and A M Ogden Lodge, No 303 admitted in 1879
