Cedar Falls

My gr-grandfather, Niels Poulsen, along with his wife Hanne (Ane) Sophie Larsen Poulsen, and sons Niels and Soren, left Denmark on approx. 20 Apr 1882. Their destination was Cedar Falls, Iowa. Ane Sophie presumably died before 1900 when Niels married again. Does anyone know of existing records which could be researched in Cedar Falls which might prove the family lived there?
