Jacob Shaffer, born in Pa. 1805 died in Lester Twp., Black Hawk Co., Iowa 1883. Five sons in the Civil War, 3 died 1 returned and died several yeara later, the youngest, Frank, returned to become prosperous businessman. Daughters: Lavina, wife of Levi J. Schrack;Lucinda, wife of John Guyer; Sarah, wife of Nickolas Guyer and Matilda, wife of Israel Fuller. I need any info.on the children, especially on the daughter's families. I am willing to share and compare. Thank you. Trish.
