Nancy,
My great grandmother was also named Elizabeth Reiter. She was born in Dubuque county in 1876. Her parents were John and Margaret (Hess) Reiter.
They married in the Dubuque area in 1869. Her father and family moved to S.Dakota around 1884.
I have often wondered if the Reiters in Eagle twp
are related. Maybe brothers? I know there are a lot of Reiter familys around Dubuque and also
Lincoln county South Dakota.
My GGmother married my GGfather in 1900 and they
lived in Benton and Buchanan countys.
