Gilbertville-Funeral services for Valentine "Val" Frost, 87, of Gilbertville, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church here.
Mr. Frost died at noon yesterday at home of complications of a stroke.
There will be a rosary service by the family at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Oppold Funeral Home and at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Frost was born March 26, 1886 on a farm near Gilbertville, the son of John and Mary Marx Frost.
He married Catherine Ehr on Jan. 29, 1919 in Gilbertville.
He farmed before moving to Gilbertville in 1943 and was then employed by a construction firm before retiring in 1953.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Leander and Cletus (Bud), both of Gilbertville, a brother, Frank of Hoven, S. D.; three sisters, Mrs. Jane Flaming of Sawyer, S. D.; Mrs. (?) Amfahr of Jesup, and Mrs. Peter Youngblut of Raymond, 21 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
