Death in a Fall.
Waterloo Reporter:—Jesse, son of Mrs. Dan’l Parsons, of this city, died at Waverly on Tuesday, the result of injuries received in a fall from a horse on Sunday night. Jesse was employed at Bowman Bros', stock farm, and had ridden a horse from the farm into the city to visit his brother George, who resides there. Young Parsons had left for home about 9:30 in the evening, and on Monday morning was found lying beside the road near the house on the farm. The horse had stayed with him until found. Parsons was unconscious but still alive however regained consciousness, and nothing is known as to how the injuries were received. A slight scalp wound and a minor cut or two on the face were the only visible evidences of the fatal accident. Deceased was about sixteen years of age, a young man of good character who was well thought of by all. The remains were brought to the home of the sorrowing mother in this city last evening, and funeral services will be held from there this afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. W. P. Pitner officiating.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Nov. 4, 1876 and died Dec. 24, 1895. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery.
