Two-year-old Christ Mavrelis died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mavrelis of Waterloo, as the result of burns received when the child was playing with matches. His clothing became ignited and he suffered terrible burns despite the heroic efforts of his father to extinguish the blaze.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows he was born Aug. 27, 1913 and died Sept. 20, 1915. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery.
