Killed by the Cars.
Waterloo, Ia., Jan. 14,—Frank Fritz was struck by the Burlington flyer at Laporte City at 2 o’clock this morning and instantly killed, the body being thrown fully fifty feet in the air. In company with two others he was walking on the track, all being intoxicated.
Deceased is thirty-five years of age and leaves a wife and child. He was known as a business man. The coroner’s jury in the Fritz case report that the deceased met his death by voluntarily throwing himself under the train while under the influence of liquor.
