WATERLOO, IOWA – Gloria M. Conner, 91 of Waterloo, died on May 28, 2020, at The Elms in Reinbeck, Iowa, of natural causes.

She was born December 15, 1928 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was the daughter of Albert Huffman and Virginia Miller Huffman Wilson, and step daughter of Raymond “Dutch” Wilson. She attended Washington Irving Elementary, West Junior High, and graduated from West Waterloo High School. Gloria worked at John Deere and retired from the Waterloo Water Works.

Gloria married James Robert Conner on May 16, 1948 at Waterloo Church of the Brethren. She was a member of Hammond Avenue Brethren Church where she served at Treasurer for 15 years, and enjoyed traveling around the world, baking, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by a daughter Cheri Harmsen (Jerry) of Waterloo, IA; a son Kevin Conner (Laurie) of Urbandale, IA; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Jean Miller of Aplington.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother-in-law, Reuben Miller.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, private family services will be held with the burial at Garden of Memories. Memorials may be made in honor of Gloria to Hammond Avenue Church of the Brethren.
