On Wednesday, May 6th, 2020 Christine K. Burchard, loving wife, mother, & an amazing grandma passed away at 61.
Christine was born on August 5th, 1958 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Paul and Jannett (Schuldt) Czuba.
Christine graduated from Columbus High School in 1976 and later graduated from Hawkeye Community College. She was a Medical Receptionist for more than 20 years with Covenant MercyOne.
Christine married Earl Burchard on Sept 2nd, 1983 at St Paul's United Methodist Church in Waterloo.
They raised 3 children together, Michael and Matthew Burchard of Waterloo; and daughter Katie (Anthony) Damm of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Seth and
Aiden Burchard, Gracie Damm and Evan Martinez.Chris's interests and hobbies were in abundance from scrapbooking, road trips, baking and cooking, collecting cookbooks and recipes, collecting some of
the prettiest rocks, collecting roosters & chickens, not to mention all her craft projects and fabrics. She was in a Friday the 13th group with some of her best girlfriends. She always found the funniest jokes and Memes to share, she always was making someone laugh.But most of all her favorite hobby was spending time with her family
and her grandbabies who she could not get enough of. They were truly the light of her life. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; having long heartfelt conversations with friends and family, sharing snacks, always laughing, the longest most detailed emails, Chris touched so many lives from her family and friends, to her co-workers and patients throughout the years.
No one was more caring, loving, selfless or comforting. She will forever be loved and missed.We will be celebrating her life at a later date this summer please watch for updated information on that.
