Donald Francis

Donald Richard Francis was born on November 12, 1937 in Sauk Centre, MN, son of Raymond and Lucy (Bellinger) Francis. In 1956, Donald joined the Army and later was honorably discharged in 1959.

On December 6, 1974, Donald was united in marriage to Lois Aswegan in Reinbeck at the United Methodist Church. Donald enjoyed bowling, fishing, watching sports, bingo, playing chess, and cards. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. No one was a stranger to Donald, he enjoyed talking and telling jokes to anyone.

Donald Francis died on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; six infant children: Velma, William, Baby Francis and three unnamed; a sister, Betty; and brothers Larry and Robert.

Donald is survived by his children: Michelle (Forrest) McVay, Gregory (JoAnne) Francis, Brad Francis, Dawn Francis; grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Jordan, Jared, James, Larry, Madison, Michael; great-grandchild, Emilie, and sisters, Judy Medd, Martha (Larry) Tichy.
