Cory Michael Hawbaker, 28, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed Thursday, August 15, 2019.
Cory was born at Covenant Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, on December 22, 1990.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Tresa Hawbaker and great-grandmothers Beverly Matthews and Shirley Kruse. He is survived by his father Cory Newell of Waterloo, three sisters: Chassidy (Tom) Schweer of Waverly, Mychael Johannsen of Waterloo, and Jamie Newell of Waterloo; two brothers: Andrew Newell of Waverly and Elijah Newell of Waterloo; and his grandparents: Alice Erickson and Gary Sauser of Evansdale and Tonia Kruse of Waterloo; and seven nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cory enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to music. He brought a smile to the face of everyone he encountered and he will be deeply missed.
