Rick Buck Jr., age 63 of Cresco, Iowa, passed away on his birthday, Saturday May 25, 2019, at Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco.

Richard O. Buck Jr. was born May 25. 1956 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Richard O. and Delores (Swender) Buck Sr.

He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Cresco in 1976. Following high school Rick served in the US Army from 1976 to 1978, part of that time he was stationed in Germany.

Rick married Rochel Moellers on April 15, 1978 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cresco. Rick worked in construction and maintenance. His primary hobby was woodworking; if it could be made, he’d make it! Any size project, small or large. Most of all Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and always looked forward to Buck family camping get-togethers. Rick loved driving around with his faithful companion and side kick, GG.

Rick is survived by two daughters: Crystal (Brad) Stevenson and Kelsey Buck, both of Cresco, four grandchildren: Haley, Olivia, Blake and Lathen Stevenson, all of Cresco; his father, Richard Buck Sr. of Cresco; two sisters: Becky Creger of Cresco and Deb (Brad) Curtis of Kasson, MN.

Rick is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rochel in 2016, his Mother, and a sister, Dee Anna Collier.
