Biography--

Kenneth Robert Nelson, 79, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on May 21, 2018 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

He was born on January 11, 1939 in Waterloo; the son of Joseph Robert and Agnes Aldona Maher Nelson.

Kenneth was a 1958 graduate of Waterloo East High School.

He married Jane Bingham on March 3, 1962 at First Baptist Church in Waterloo. Kenneth was an Executive Vice President of Warren Transport Inc., he retired April 1, 2014 after 56 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jane of Waterloo; two sons, Kenneth Ray (Dawn) Nelson of Waterloo, and Allan (Elizabeth) Kepler of Keller, TX; a daughter, Barbara Zirretta of Santa Barbara, CA; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Betty Stanford of Waterloo; a brother, Vern (Donna) Nelson of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews; and special caregivers Melissa and Arvella.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.
