Daisy Louise Lewis was born April 30, 1917, in Franklin Township, Iowa, daughter of John and Rozella (Stevens) Moffatt. She was married to Joe Lucas and they had a son, Roy. Daisy worked in a box factory and poultry processing plant during the war. Joe passed away from Leukemia and she was later married to James Glenn Lewis. Daisy had an entrepreneurial spirit and would buy and sell second hand items to save money for her own retirement. She also kept a large garden and grew vegetables to supplement her income. Daisy was the oldest living member at Grace Baptist Church and lived independently until the end of 2017 when she moved into Ravenwood Specialty Care.

Daisy passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the age of 101 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joe Lucas and Jim Lewis; her son, Roy Lucas; brother, Ray Moffatt; and sisters, Mary Starsavick and Edna Elliott.

Daisy is survived by five grandchildren: Arisha Lucas, Tasha McGrane, Kiesha Stefancik, Karin Barfels, and Mary Wagner; eight great-grandchildren: Kayden and Baylee Bravender, Taylor, Peyton and Cole Stefancik, Jaxson Roe, Casey and Wayne Barfels; and three great-great-grandchildren: Abbi, Katelynn and Ranae Barfels.

Memorials should be made payable to Grace Baptist Church.
